SOLUTIONSplus learning programme on Electric Mobility
The programme follows an Open University approach, combining online courses, webinars, face-to-face trainings and interactive exchange sessions. In addition to interviews with leading experts in e-mobility, courses will also provide students with additional materials such as policy papers, tools, fact sheets and good practice case studies.
Learning programme
The SOLUTIONSplus learning programme is a first-of-its-kind global training on e-mobility solutions spanning the entire value chain. It will provide you with knowledge and insights from city and regional authorities, industry, research, implementing organisations and financing partners.
Learning goals
You will be provided with a balanced and multi-faceted perspective comprising insights on suitable policy frameworks, operational models and scenarios for business set-ups to foster e-mobility in your city or region. Our aim is to be representative of the various contexts, sectors and operational environments e-mobility can take place in and manifest itself.
Certification
Upon completion of each SOLUTIONSplus learning programme course, a certificate of completion will be provided and the learning materail will maintain accessible to all students.

SOLUTIONSplus Course 3 - Mobility as a Service and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)
The third e-course of the SOLUTIONSplus global learning programme on electric mobility aims to explore the relationship between e-mobility in the current pursuit to decarbonise our transport systems and establish a link with the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) solutions and shared mobility or Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS). The course is designed for city and regional authorities but can provide a solid knowledge base for any stakeholder involved or interested in e-mobility, ITS and MaaS. The kick-off webinar will provide key information and guidance about this e-course and the learning programme and the SOLUTIONSplus project.
The SOLUTIONSplus partners have been working with experts from the MaaS Alliance, ERTICO, HITRANS, Transport for West Midlands, POLIS, City Able, PluService SRL, UITP, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Finland, MobilityData and SWARCO, to develop this new e-course.
The e-course will last from 17th of January until 24th February 2023.
SOLUTIONSplus Course 4
Electrification of paratransit services
This is a 5-unit course, that will be run over 5 weeks. The course will be officially launched on 5 June and run until mid-July. Each week, a new unit will be published online:

Unit 1: Overview of the paratransit sector: This unit will present the main characteristics of the paratransit sector worldwide, and contextualize the recent trend towards electrification in the mobility sector, and the paratransit industry in particular.

Unit 2: Actions and regulations at the national level: This Unit presents some of the main actions that need to be implemented at a national level by the authorities to set the appropriate framework for the electrification of the paratransit sector.

Unit 3: Actions and regulations at the local level: In this Unit, specific actions, measures and issues will be presented and discussed at the local level, to ensure the consistent integration of electric paratransit services into urban mobility systems.

Unit 4: Engaging with paratransit operators: As operators are key stakeholders in the urban mobility sector in many cities, it is crucial to understand how the electrification of paratransit services might impact their business models, practices and interactions.

Unit 5: Deployment of e-paratransit operations and services: Considering the implementation of e-paratransit services, recommendations are articulated regarding the actions to take depending on the type of services to deploy (2, 3 or 4 wheelers).

The second e-course of the SOLUTIONSplus global learning programme on electric mobility aims to provide a comprehensive course on the electrification of buses and thei rintegration in cities' public transport systems. The course is designed for city and regional authorities but can provide a solid knowledge base for any stakeholder involved or interested in e-mobility, e-buses, and public transport. the kick-off webinar will provide key information and guidance about the learning programme and the SOLUTIONSplus project.
In addition to the video lectures, the e-course will include material for self-study, assignments, and live virtual exchange sessions to accompany the course enabling interactive discussions with and among participants.

The first course of the SOLUTIONSplus global learning programme on electric mobility aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to electric mobility planning and implementation in local contexts.
The course is primarily designed for city and regional authorities, but can provide a solid knowledge base for any stakeholder involved or interested in electric mobility.
In addition to lectures and material for self-study, a kick-off webinar gives key information and guidance about the learning programme and the SOLUTIONSplus project. Virtual exchange sessions are scheduled to accompany the course enabling interactive discussions with and among participants.
